This workshop is designed to demonstrate how use of the breath frees the body to make specific yoga asanas more accessible, thus allowing the practitioner to access, hold and feel the poses. Pilates rings will be used as a novel and versatile prop. Pranati has been exploring these rings for some years now and has found it to be great prop on many different levels.

About Pranati Pratap:
Pranati has been teaching yoga in the US from 1992 through 2013 when she returned to her native India. Growing up in Pune, she studied extensively with BKS, Geeta, and Prashant Iyengar and has continued her studies returning annually to the Institute. She received her certification from BKS Iyengar himself. Her classes incorporate the philosophy of yoga and meditation, giving a deeper understanding to the practice. Pranati has translated a book on meditation which was written by Vinoba Bhave one of the India's greatest thinker, philosopher and spiritual person.
